GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost or direct sow outdoors in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep and 1-2 inches apart in rows spaced 12-18 inches apart. Thin seedlings to 4-6 inches apart. Shallots prefer full sun and well-draining, fertile soil. Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during bulb development. Harvest when the tops begin to yellow and fall over, typically in late summer or early fall.
